Powerstar at Principal Hayley, Palace Hotel Manchester

THE CUSTOMER
The Palace Hotel Manchester, is part of the Principal Hayley collection of individual hotels across the UK and Europe. Set in the heart of the city centre on the busy Oxford Road. The hotel is popular with business guests, being in close location to the airport and train station and also short break leisure guests with its close links to the shopping districts and city theatres.


THE INSTALLATION
The hotel are seeking ways to effectively reduce its impact on the environment by reducing electricity consumption and lowering it’s carbon footprint.
The Powerstar team conducted a site survey and produced a proposal which projected the guaranteed minimum savings that could be achieved for the hotel with the voltage optimisation system. Following the proposal the installation of a 500 kVA Powerstar unit was commissioned


THE RESULTS
The Palace Hotel Manchester, achieved annual energy consumption savings of 18%, this equates to a financial saving of £30,126 per annum following the installation of the Powerstar system. The payback period for the project is 1.4 years
