In 2010 Belectric became the world’s leading solar EPC contractor (installer) with 313MWp installed in that year alone (equivalent to ~170,000 homes), supplying more than 300,000 people with solar energy. In total it has delivered over 3,000 customised rooftop power plants, and approaching 150 utility-scale solutions. It manufactures high quality, bankable, cost effective solar power plants characterized by the highest energy yields in the industry, reliable operation and low raw material consumption.

Belectric has developed the most complete portfolio of intellectual property rights in the industry, enabling it to become the global market leader. It has also forged extremely close IP sharing relationships with market leading manufacturers such as SMA which is the world’s number 1 manufacturer of inverters – many of which contain Belectric technology.

Belectric GmbH generated revenues of more than $700m in 2010 and has no debt. Due to its strong purchasing power it also has very close relationships with manufacturers and is able to avoid supply shortages and market price fluctuations.

In 2010 Belectric GmbH established Belectric Solar Ltd, its UK subsidiary, to bring the years of experience and significant resources it has amassed to the UK solar PV marketplace, and to work with local partners to implement large numbers of very high quality solar PV installations.
